THE GREEN PAVILLON “Museum A come Ambiente”

Urban Landscapes

THE GREEN PAVILLON “Museum A come Ambiente” in Turin, a project by Carlo Ratti and Walter Nicolino. A fifth green shields the garden from the adjacent parking lot and leads the eye towards the new Parco Dora.
So this is the new pavilion that extends over 300 square meters of space for the exhibits of the museum for Environment on the side towards the former chimney cooling of the district Michelin.
The coating plant system (vertical), which covers the two main facades, softens the boxy shape of the prefabricated pavilion also toward the parking lot. The table to the Parco Dora is made instead by a large window, which makes it visible from within the park and becomes the display for the exhibits of the museum.
